Familjefotografiet, ett förevigande av minnet?
Genom att utgå från en samling familjefotografier kan undersökningen ge oss möjlighet att göra en resa i tid och rum.
Bilderna påminner oss om svunna tider och förflyttar oss till en annan tid och plats. Hur relaterar vi till familjefotografier,
våra egna och andras? Rekonstruerar bilderna vårt minne av händelsen eller är vi fria att minnas på det sätt vi vill?
Ingen bild står isolerad utan är på ett eller annat sätt relaterad till en annan bild. Undersökningen syftar till att utifrån
en fotosamling ta fasta på samspelet mellan familjefotografier från olika tider och platser.
Ways of seeing an image
The family photograph, an eternalization of our memory?
By presupposing a collection of family photographs, the investigation allows us to take a journey through time and space.
The photos remind us of past moments and give us the possibility of being transferred to another time and place.
How do we relate to family photographs, our own ones and others? Do the pictures reconstruct our reminiscence
about the moment or are we free to remember it the way we want?
No picture is isolated but in one way or another related to another picture. The study aims to – from a photo collection –
draw on the interaction between family photographs from different times and places.
